Dr. Emmanuella Zamba, General Manager of LASHMA, highlighted the workshop’s purpose—to discuss modules facilitating the implementation of effective telehealth, especially for those in underprivileged areas. Four modules have been developed to guide the implementation, and stakeholders are engaged to assess their viability and contribute to the success of the initiative.

Dr. Raphel Akangbe, the Public Relations Officer of the Society for Telemedicine and eHealth in Nigeria, expressed optimism about the policy, stating that it would address healthcare challenges in the country. Telehealth, according to him, provides equal access to healthcare, eliminating disparities in service delivery.

Jegede emphasized that the research goes beyond theoretical exploration, as LASHMA has the resources to proceed with actual testing and modifications for effective implementation.
