NITDA Leads other Tech Players on Digital Innovations for Growth


The Digital Nigeria 2023 Conference, hosted by the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, made waves with its dynamic theme, “Harnessing Digital Technologies for Job Creation, Inclusive Economic Growth, and Stability.” The event drew a constellation of tech thought leaders who focused on the transformative potential of digital technology in today’s world.


Prominent figures, including the Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, Director General of NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, graced the occasion, along key industry leaders including Funke Opeke, Managing Director of Main One, and Lorien Gamaroff, CEO of CentBee. They emphasized the pivotal role of digital innovation in advancing sustainable economic growth.

The Minister of Communications, innovation and digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, in his capacity as the Chief Host, shared his vision for turbo-charging Nigeria’s economic productivity by harnessing digital technologies and innovation and laid out the five key pillars of his strategic agenda.


DG NITDA, Kashifu Inuwa Abdullahi, highlighted the exciting times of technological advancement we’re living in and outlined the event’s goals.


Keynote speaker and Managing Director, Main One, Funke Opeke delved into the role of emerging technologies in propelling national development, emphasizing the creation of local job opportunities and the importance of making digital tools accessible to all. Meanwhile, guest speaker and CEO, CentBee, Lorien Gamaroff shed light on blockchain technology’s significant potential, particularly in fostering transparency and data security.
