Federal Government Implements 300% Increase in Electricity Tariffs, Effective Immediately

The Federal Government has announced a significant increase in electricity tariffs, approved by the Nigeria Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC). The new tariff, set at ₦225 per kilowatt-hour, marks a threefold increase from the previous rate of ₦66 for customers under the Band A category.
