Tinubu Announces New Appointments for AMCON, NCC, and NIGCOMSAT

President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of new management teams for the Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria (AMCON) and several agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy.

For AMCON, the newly appointed management team includes Gbenga Alade as Managing Director/CEO, Aminu Ismail as Executive Director, Adeshola Lamidi as Executive Director, and Lucky Adaghe as Executive Director. These appointments are pending confirmation by the Nigerian Senate. President Tinubu expects the new appointees to demonstrate unwavering dedication, professionalism, and diligence in their roles to ensure that AMCON operates more efficiently and transparently. These efforts are aligned with the President’s commitment to sanitizing the nation’s financial system and boosting investor confidence in the Nigerian economy.

Additionally, Tinubu has approved appointments for three agencies under the Federal Ministry of Communications and Digital Economy. Abraham Oshadami has been appointed as Executive Commissioner for Technical Services, Rimini Makama as Executive Commissioner for Stakeholder Management, and Opeyemi Dele-Ajayi as President/CEO of the Digital Bridge Institute at the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC).

At the Nigerian Communications Satellite (NIGCOMSAT) Limited, Abiodun Attah will serve as Executive Director for Technical Services, Aisha Abdullahi as Executive Director for Finance & Administration, and Jaiyeola Awokoya as Executive Director for Marketing & Business Development.

Meanwhile, for Galaxy Backbone (BB) Limited, Ibrahim Adepoju Adeyanju has been appointed as Managing Director/CEO, Mohammed Sani Ibrahim as Executive Director for Finance & Corporate Services, Olusegun Olulade as Executive Director for Customer Centricity & Marketing, and Olumbe Akinkugbe as Executive Director for Digital Exploration & Technical Services.

These appointments underscore President Tinubu’s commitment to effective leadership and governance across key sectors, ensuring that qualified professionals are positioned to drive growth and development in critical areas of the economy.
