On Thursday, 22 October 2026, the Programme Steering Committee of Abuja Tech Week 2026, led by the Local Organising Chairman, Andrew Abu, Chairman of the Nigeria Computer Society (NCS) and Founder of Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN), paid a courtesy visit to the National President of the Nigerian Association of Chambers of Commerce, Industry, Mines and Agriculture (NACCIMA), Engr. Jani Ibrahim, to discuss opportunities for strategic collaboration, private sector participation, investment mobilisation, and business development through Abuja Tech Week 2026.
The visit underscores the importance of strengthening the relationship between Nigeria’s technology ecosystem and its organised private sector to accelerate innovation, promote enterprise development, and create new pathways for investment and economic growth. Abuja Tech Week 2026, scheduled to hold from 24–26 November 2026 in Abuja, is a major technology and digital economy gathering designed to connect startups, investors, technology innovators, policymakers, industry leaders, development institutions, and businesses to explore solutions to emerging economic and technological challenges.
With the theme “Energizing Smart Mobility: Powering Cities of the Future,” the event will provide a platform for conversations and practical engagement around smart mobility, energy, artificial intelligence, digital transformation, and the technologies shaping the future of African cities and industries.
The engagement with NACCIMA is particularly significant given the association’s role in representing and advancing the interests of Nigeria’s organised private sector. Through its extensive business network across commerce, industry, mines, and agriculture, NACCIMA provides an important link between entrepreneurs, established businesses, investors, policymakers, and potential business partners.
The collaboration presents an opportunity to bridge the gap between technology development and market adoption by connecting innovative Nigerian startups with businesses seeking technology-driven solutions, investors exploring emerging opportunities, and industry leaders interested in partnerships that deliver measurable commercial and economic value.
For startups and emerging businesses, Abuja Tech Week 2026 will offer opportunities to showcase innovations, build strategic relationships, gain visibility, and engage potential customers, partners, and investors. For investors, it will provide access to emerging technologies, entrepreneurial talent, and business opportunities across Nigeria’s growing innovation ecosystem. Established companies will also have opportunities to explore new technologies, identify solutions to operational challenges, and establish partnerships with innovators capable of supporting their digital transformation and expansion.
Beyond showcasing technology, Abuja Tech Week seeks to strengthen the relationship between innovation and enterprise by encouraging businesses to identify real-world challenges that startups and technology companies can solve. This approach aligns with the broader need to position innovation as a driver of productivity, competitiveness, job creation, and sustainable economic growth.
The courtesy visit reflects the Steering Committee’s commitment to building strong institutional and private sector partnerships that will expand the reach and impact of Abuja Tech Week 2026. Engagement with organisations such as NACCIMA is critical to ensuring that the event creates value beyond discussions, translating connections into business opportunities, investment partnerships, technology adoption, and long-term economic impact.
As preparations continue, Abuja Tech Week invites investors, startups, entrepreneurs, corporate organisations, government institutions, industry associations, and other ecosystem stakeholders to participate in the 2026 edition and contribute to shaping the future of technology, enterprise, and smart mobility in Nigeria and across Africa.
Abuja Tech Week 2026 is more than a technology event; it is a meeting point for innovation, investment, industry, and the partnerships that will power the next generation of African businesses.
