NVIDIA LAUNCHES RTX 50 SERIES GAMING CHIPS AT CES 2025

NVIDIA, an American multinational technology company that designs and manufactures graphics processing units (GPUs), software, and other products for a variety of industries has unveiled the GeForce RTX 50 Series, based on its Blackwell technology that powers AI data center chips.

 

This was announced by the company’s CEO, Jensen Huang, during a keynote speech at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2025, where he highlighted the power of innovation and technology.

 

He said, “This little thing here is in full production, We’re expecting this computer to be available in the May time frame.”

 

According to him, the new GeForce RTX 50 series cards promise a raft of improvements for PC gamers and content creators with a massive boost in AI horsepower.

 

He also revealed that the RTX 50 Series enables new experiences and next-level graphics fidelity, multiplied by Nvidia’s DLSS 4 technology. It also generates images at unprecedented speeds and unleashes creativity with Nvidia Studio. Plus, users get access to Nvidia NIM Microservices, pre-packaged AI models optimized for deployment across RTX AI PCs

 

Furthermore, he explained that the lineup is broken down into two series: those for desktop systems and those for laptops which includes the RTX 5070, RTX 5070 Ti, RTX 5080, and RTX 5090. Desktop versions of the cards start at $549 for the RTX 5070 and jump to $1,999 for the top-of-the-line RTX 5090. Pricing for the laptop versions of the chips depends on the notebook’s manufacturer, but Nvidia estimates RTX-equipped laptops will cost roughly $1,299, while those running the RTX 5090 will come in at about $2,899.

 

Huang also debuted a number of new software technologies designed to help train humanoid robots and power a variety of AI applications.

 

Nvidia’s showcase at CES 2025 is a clear indication of the company’s commitment to driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of technology.
