WhatsApp Warns Uk Over Online Safety Bill

WhatsApp a messaging platform has warned the Uk Government against passing the online safety Bill into laws as it will infringe on Users Privacy.

In a letter from Facebook, it states that the bill requires technology firms to break end to end encryption on private messaging service.

The messaging platform are worried over the Uk Proposed Bill saying if passed into Law, billions of people around the world will be exposed. The act will call for unofficial members having the power to weaken the privacy of its users.

The online safety bill aims to hold social media companies accountable and responsible for actions that impact users’ lives.

The company has therefore call on the Uk Government to reconsider its plans and ensure it aligns with the stated intention to project end to end encryption and respect human rights to privacy.

The Bill has also been rejected by the United Nations {UN} as the consequences maybe severe. Adding that the act could cut billions of WhatsApp communication around the world directed to the European Nation and if not reconsidered, it will withdraw its services from the country.
