President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Dr. Barr. Lady Obiageli Edith Amadiobi as the new Director General and Chief Executive Officer of the National Office for Technology Acquisition and Promotion (NOTAP). The appointment was announced by Solomon D. Nshem, Deputy Director of Public Relations & Protocol at NOTAP.
Dr. Amadiobi, who previously served as the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Information and Strategy in Imo State, is well-known for initiating impactful policies that significantly supported the administration in Imo State. Her academic credentials are extensive, with degrees from the Federal University of Technology Owerri, Nigerian Law School, Imo State University, Abia State University, and the Polytechnic, Nekede. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting, a Bachelor of Laws degree (LLB BL), a Master’s degree in Banking and Finance, a Master’s degree in Financial Management, and a Doctorate degree in Financial Management.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the Association of National Accountants of Nigeria, the Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, the Nigerian Bar Association, and the International Federation of Female Lawyers. She is also a fellow of the National Institute of Marketers.
Dr. Amadiobi has participated in numerous national and international conferences, seminars, and workshops, earning several awards for her outstanding performance in the workplace and her community. Her extensive experience in the Imo State Civil Service, spanning over three decades, along with her reputation for hard work, integrity, and accountability, is expected to significantly contribute to her new role at NOTAP.
Her appointment is seen as a strategic move to advance the “Renewed Hope Agenda” of the current administration. Dr. Amadiobi enjoys reading and playing lawn tennis and is happily married with children.
