It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Professor Emevwo Anselm Biakolo, the esteemed founding dean of the School of Media and Communication at Pan-Atlantic University. Professor Biakolo peacefully departed this world in his sleep on February 8th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of intellectual brilliance and profound impact.
A distinguished public intellectual and scholar in classics and poetry, Prof. Biakolo’s expertise spanned various fields, including Communication, Storytelling, Professional Ethics, Media Relations/Management, and Educational Management. Prior to his tenure at Pan-Atlantic University, he shared his knowledge and wisdom as a lecturer at the University of Ibadan and the University of Botswana.
Throughout his illustrious career, Prof. Biakolo made significant contributions to journalism as a member of the editorial board and columnist for The Guardian Newspaper. His insightful commentary and thought-provoking analysis enriched public discourse and inspired critical thinking among readers.
