NDPB Boss Appointed Into Forbes Technology Council

The National Commissioner of the Nigeria Data Protection Bureau (NDPB), Dr. Vincent Olatunji, has been selected as a member of the Forbes Technology Council for 2023. This appointment showcases Nigeria’s acknowledgment in the worldwide data protection field.

Forbes Councils are exclusive communities established in collaboration with Forbes and the experienced community builders behind the Young Entrepreneur Council (YEC). Within these councils, accomplished business owners and leaders unite with individuals and valuable resources that support their success.

Forbes Council’s founder, Scott Gerber, expressed enthusiasm in welcoming Dr. Olatunji as a member of the Council. Dr. Olatunji, an accomplished professional, holds a doctorate degree in Geography and Planning from the University of Lagos. He possesses certifications as a Public Private Partnership Specialist and a Data Protection Officer. With a strong track record of success, he has excelled in fostering relationships across sectors and achieving tangible outcomes.

Throughout his career, he has led teams, conducted extensive research, formulated effective policies, and implemented strategic initiatives in Nigerian government agencies. Notably, he served as the Acting Director General of the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA) and currently holds the position of the National Commissioner of the NDPB since February 2022.
