The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) joins consumers and stakeholders in the telecommunications industry to celebrate the 2024 World Telecommunications and Information Society Day. This international day, proclaimed by the International Telecommunication Union Plenipotentiary Conference in 2006, is observed annually on May 17.
The theme of this year’s World Telecommunication and Information Society Day is “Digital Innovation for Sustainable Development.” In line with this theme, the NCC emphasizes its commitment to bridging the urban-rural digital divide, a critical goal in global telecommunications.
