Meta Commits to Investment in Nigeria’s Creator Ecosystem

Moon Baz, the Creator Partnerships Lead for Africa, the Middle East, and Turkey at Meta, shared this commitment during the recent unveiling of the creator lab in Nigeria. Baz expressed enthusiasm about the launch of Creator Lab Live in Nigeria, an Instagram initiative aimed at assisting emerging and aspiring creators in expanding their presence on the platform.

He highlighted Nigeria’s existing vibrant creator community, which exerts a global cultural impact, and emphasized Meta’s dedication to supporting these creators as they progress in their careers. Meta acknowledges the outstanding content produced across its family of apps and is determined to help creators cultivate their communities and achieve financial success on its platforms.

Meta is enthusiastic about shaping the future of digital content and experiences, and it’s committed to providing creators with a central hub where they can cultivate communities and craft captivating content using various formats and creative tools.

The company’s creator lab program brings creators together in person to foster connections, engage in immersive workshops, and explore the latest innovations within its ecosystem. The recent program, held in Lagos, had over 40 creators and influencers participating.

In 2022, Meta hosted a Creators Day event in Lagos, focusing on empowering creators with the skills and knowledge needed to establish and expand their brands while enhancing their earnings.
