Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum to Strengthen Trade, Tourism, and Cross-Border Investments in Nigeria

The Ghana Tourism Authority, in collaboration with partners in trade and industry, has announced the upcoming Ghana International Expo and Investment Forum, a landmark event set to spotlight Ghana’s business potential and deepen bilateral ties with Nigeria.

Scheduled to hold from September 24–27, 2025, at the Adeyemi Bero Auditorium, Alausa, Ikeja, Lagos, the Expo will run under the theme “Unlocking Investment Potential Through Intra-African Trade and Tourism.”

The forum is designed as a high-level platform to connect Ghanaian entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers, and international business leaders with Nigerian counterparts. It will showcase Ghana’s value propositions across agriculture, manufacturing, technology, finance, services, creative industries, and tourism—sectors positioned to attract cross-border partnerships and investments.

Speaking on the significance of the event, Mrs. Maame Efua Houadjeto, CEO of the Ghana Tourism Authority, described the Expo as more than a trade showcase.
“This Expo is a gateway for Ghanaian businesses to position themselves as global players. It strengthens our economic ties with Nigeria and opens new markets across Africa and beyond. As the agency mandated to promote tourism, we see the Expo as a vital tool for driving regional integration and supporting the objectives of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA),” she said.

Organisers say the Expo will also highlight tourism as a driver of intra-African trade and cultural exchange, with opportunities for joint ventures, networking, and business-to-business engagements expected to feature prominently.

By hosting this event in Lagos, the Ghana Tourism Authority aims to leverage Nigeria’s position as Africa’s largest economy to boost Ghana’s trade visibility and encourage mutually beneficial partnerships that will contribute to the continent’s shared economic growth.
