Leading cybersecurity firm Digital Encode, alongside Artificial Intelligence (AI) company NeuRaL AI, and the Nigeria Internet Registration Association (NiRA), have announced their collaboration with the Nigeria Information Technology Reporters Association (NITRA) for the upcoming NITRA ICT Growth Conference 4.0. The conference, themed “Impact of AI on National Development: Prospects, Policies, and Challenges in Nigeria,” will take place on August 28, 2024, at the Citiheight Hotel in Ikeja, Lagos.
NITRA Chairman, Mr. Chike Onwuegbuchi, highlighted the importance of the support from Digital Encode and NeuRaL AI, emphasizing that their expertise aligns with the current cybersecurity challenges as Nigeria advances in AI adoption across various sectors.

The event will bring together ICT industry stakeholders to discuss strategies for accelerating AI growth in alignment with federal policies, including those from the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, the NCC, and NITDA.
The conference will feature multiple interactive panels, with industry associations like ALTON, ATCON, and NiRA contributing their insights. The discussions will focus on themes such as “Driving Sub-Sectoral Digital Growth with Artificial Intelligence” and “Navigating the Dangers of AI in a Developing Economy: Role of Public, Private Stakeholders.”
