AltSchool Africa, a global talent organization has partnered with Bybit to establish the Bybit Academy, offering 1,000 scholarships to African students, an initiative that aims to provide accessible, technology-focused education, equipping students with skills to thrive in a digital economy.
Bybit’s COO and co-founder, Helen Liu, through a statement revealed that the company believes that investing in education is crucial for Africa’s future growth and development. She emphasized the importance of education in driving change and empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders.
According to the statement, the partnership includes a $100,000 sponsorship fund, which will support the scholarship program. It also stated that the selection criteria for the scholarships will be based on entrance exam scores, priority countries, gender diversity, and other mutually agreed factors.
AltSchool Africa CEO, Adewale Yusuf revealed that the partnership goes beyond a traditional scholarship program. He said,
“It represents a shared vision for a future where young Africans are not only tech-savvy but also empowered to lead their communities into a prosperous digital age.”
This partnership comes four months after AltSchool Africa’s deal with Binance, which aimed to provide scholarships to 500 young Africans in various tech fields. The Binance partnership focused on developing digital skills in areas like software engineering, cybersecurity, and data science.
