Africa’s Green Energy Moment Takes Center Stage at Technology Ecosystem Dialogue (TED 2025)

Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN), in collaboration with the Rural Electrification Agency (REA) and the National Assembly Committee on Renewable Energy, has announced the 3rd Edition of the Technology Ecosystem Dialogue (TED 2025), set for September 26, 2025, at the NAF Conference Centre, Abuja.

This year’s event is themed “Green Tech & Energy Revolution: Transforming Businesses and Societies in Nigeria.” TED 2025 will bring together innovators, policymakers, investors, and thought leaders to accelerate Africa’s transition to a sustainable, inclusive energy future.

Why It Matters

Africa’s renewable energy potential — solar, wind, and hydro — represents a major lever for economic transformation. Unlocking this potential can power inclusive growth, create millions of jobs, fuel agritech and digital infrastructure innovation, and position Nigeria as a continental climate leader.

Speaking ahead of the summit, Abu Andrew, Founder of YIN, said:

“TED 2025 is more than a conference; it’s a rallying call for young Africans to seize the green energy revolution as a generational opportunity. Green Tech is about jobs, resilient businesses, and securing Africa’s place in the sustainable digital economy.”

Event Highlights
• Innovation Panels & Policy Dialogues – exploring energy access, AI & blockchain in energy, and youth-led climate innovation.
• National Innovation Hackathon 2025 – co-hosted with REA & NASENI, with a submission deadline of September 23, 2025, and a live showcase on September 26, 2025.
• TED3 Awards – recognizing excellence in Youth Climate Innovation, Policy Leadership, and Women in Green Tech.

Call to Action

YIN is inviting stakeholders, investors, tech media, and global observers to participate and cover this defining conversation on Africa’s green future.
