Gov Okpebholo Suspends Agenebode Monarch Over Insecurity, Kidnapping Allegations

Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpebholo, has ordered the immediate and indefinite suspension of Dr. George Oshiapi Egabor, the Okumagbe of Uwano Kingdom in Agenebode, Etsako East Local Government Area, following a string of kidnappings and killings in the area.

The action comes amid heightened concern over insecurity in the community, including the recent killing of a palace chief, the late John Ikhamate.

As part of ongoing investigations, Chief Peter Omiogbemhi, secretary to the suspended monarch, has been arrested by security operatives.

The announcement was made in a statement signed by Fred Itua, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor.
