Young Innovators of Nigeria (YIN) took a significant step forward on Wednesday by inaugurating a 30-member Local Organising Committee (LOC) for its annual Technology Ecosystem Dialogue and the commemoration of its ten years of impactful existence in Abuja.

Andrew Abu, the Founder of YIN, expressed his unwavering commitment to advancing technology innovations in Nigeria, particularly among the youth. He emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to build skills, highlighting the increasing demand for ICT skills globally.
Abu underscored the significance of emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the Internet of Things (IoT) in shaping the future of work and fostering innovation for national development.
The Technology Ecosystem Dialogue and anniversary celebration, scheduled for October, will also feature the unveiling of a book titled “Tech Republic,” symbolizing YIN’s decade-long journey and contributions to the tech ecosystem.

Mayowa Ajiboye, Chairman of the LOC, outlined the dialogue’s agenda, which will address pressing issues such as AI, climate change, and food security. He emphasized the importance of showcasing YIN’s growth and expressing gratitude to mentors and contributors while focusing on delivering life-changing solutions to national challenges.
The anniversary celebration will include various activities such as hackathons, presentations, and the recognition of organizations, government institutions, and individuals who have significantly contributed to national development and YIN’s success.
The event promises to be a platform for innovation and collaboration, driving impactful solutions to key societal challenges while celebrating a decade of YIN’s remarkable journey in shaping Nigeria’s technology landscape.
