According to the NCC’s Executive Vice Chairman, the commission plans to generate N632.39 billion in revenue in 2022.
The revenue would be generated, he said, through the selling of networks and fines, among other things.
Meanwhile, lawmakers have demanded an explanation about the deployment of Fifth Generation (5G) technology in Nigeria and its technological implications for Nigerians.
The executive vice chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) reassured Nigerians that electromagnetic emissions from the 5G network have no negative impact on human health.
He went on to say that there is currently no scientific proof that 5G poses any health or safety dangers to the public.
The Nigerian Communications Commission has previously stated that the country was 97% ready to use fifth-generation technology.
