The Digital Mom Project utilizes technology to enhance maternal health outcomes, incorporating quality improvement, behavioral science, and AI through web and mobile platforms. With a focus on continuous data sourcing, collation, and analysis, the project seeks to reduce maternal mortality rates in Nigeria, currently at 512 deaths for every 100,000 live births, with 3.8% of WRA severely malnourished.
Project Manager at mDoc, Chiagozie Abiakam, emphasized the project’s goal of improving the physical, emotional, and financial well-being of mothers through a seamless virtual and in-person support platform. The initiative provides virtual coaches and digital nudges through mDoc’s CompleteHealth platform, assisting women in making better health decisions over time. Additionally, the NaviHealth platform enables patients to access real-time medical records via easily navigable dashboards.
