NIMC CEO, Coker-Odusote, Receives Honorary Doctorate from African University

The Chief Executive Officer and Director-General of the National Identity Management Commission (NIMC), Mrs. Abisoye Coker-Odusote, has been awarded an honorary doctorate degree by the African University of Science and Technology (AUST), Abuja. The prestigious recognition was presented during a ceremony held on Tuesday in the Federal Capital Territory.

The award celebrates Mrs. Coker-Odusote’s exceptional contributions to nation-building and her transformative leadership in Nigeria’s identity management sector. Since assuming her role, she has spearheaded significant advancements in the country’s national identity system, fostering innovation and inclusivity.

Expressing her gratitude, Mrs. Coker-Odusote shared her excitement on her X (formerly Twitter) page, writing, “I am deeply honoured to receive this prestigious award from the African University of Science and Technology.”
