In a recent report from World of Statistics, Nigeria has been ranked fifth worldwide for average daily time spent on social media in 2024. This ranking highlights Nigeria’s growing digital economy and its population’s increasing reliance on social platforms for communication, business, and social interaction.
According to the “We Are Social in 2024” report on X, Nigerians average 3 hours and 23 minutes of daily social media use, placing the country just behind Kenya, South Africa, Brazil, and the Philippines in social media engagement. Other high-ranking countries in daily usage include Colombia, Chile, and Indonesia.
