Olawale ige, Engineer Engr Olawale Adeniji Ige, the former Minister of Communications and the founder of the Nigeria Internet Group (NIG), has died. Olawale Ige, the man engineer The family of Ige of Ile Seedu, Ijero in Ogbomosho, Oyo State reported the former Minister of Communications, Engr Olawale Adeniji Ige, well known as Baba Ige, passed away on May 9, 2022, at the age of 83. He was a member of the Nigeria Society of Engineers (FNSE) and received numerous awards, including Member of the Federal Republic (MFR).

Pa Ige was the former Director-General, Ministry of Communications before becoming a Minister of Communications in 1990 and was reappointed a Minister to coordinate the Ministry of Transport, Aviation, and Communications in 1992, according to a public statement endorsed by his senior daughter on behalf of the family, Mrs. Atinuke Olashore. From 1999 to 2010.
