“We expect all policymakers, including private sector executives, to attend this orientation. It is an opportunity for lawmakers, local government chairmen, state commissioners, special advisers, and private sector leaders to understand the customs and traditions of Nigeria,” Ajiboye stated.

The retreat will also benefit foreign investors and diplomats, enhancing their cultural awareness. Ajiboye highlighted issues faced by telecommunications companies, such as community resistance to infrastructure projects, as areas where cultural understanding is crucial.

NICO has communicated with the leadership of the national assembly to encourage lawmakers to participate in this important orientation exercise, reinforcing the institute’s mandate to promote cultural awareness among policymakers.
