NCC Invites Stakeholders to Contribute to National Telecommunications Policy Review

The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has called on industry stakeholders and members of the public to submit written contributions to its ongoing review of the National Telecommunications Policy 2000.

According to the Commission, the move aligns with its statutory responsibilities under the Nigerian Communications Act 2003, following the activation of Section 24(1) of the Act, which provides for consultative processes in policy review.

As part of the exercise, the NCC has published a Consultation Paper on its website to guide stakeholders in making informed submissions on the proposed review of the policy framework governing the telecommunications sector.

All interested parties are expected to forward their written submissions on or before Friday, March 20, 2026. Submissions should be addressed to the Executive Vice Chairman, Nigerian Communications Commission, Plot 423, Aguiyi Ironsi Street, Maitama, Abuja, with attention to the Director, Policy, Competition and Economic Analysis.

The review is expected to provide a platform for stakeholders to contribute to the development of a more responsive and forward-looking telecommunications policy for Nigeria.
