HEALTHCARE PLAYERS RAISE CONCERN FOR ACCESSIBLE SERVICE IN WEST AFRICA

Major players in healthcare sector in West Africa raise concern over the non-availability of affordable healthcare service to Africans and raises the need for the sector to leverage on innovation to disrupt the sector at landmark centre in Lagos during Medic West Africa Event.

At the gathering, various key healthcare professionals, Her excellency, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Honorable Engr Mrs Noimot Salako Oyedele, the president of the Healthcare Federation of Nigeria (HFN), Dr Pamela Ajayi, The founder/CEO, WellaHealth Technologies, Abuja, Dr Ikpeme Neto and many more raise concern over the issues facing the health sector.

Technological advancement with digitization of healthcare as its baseline is an important point to note in the lectures given by some of the healthcare powerhouses and professionals. They note that the new NHIA act which has just been signed into law recognizes the role of the state as a health insurance provider.
