Gbajabiamila Praises NASENI Technological Breakthroughs and Product Innovations

Chief of Staff to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, CFR, has lauded the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI) for its impressive technological advancements, product innovations, and contributions to various economic sectors.

During a familiarization visit to NASENI on August 22, 2024, accompanied by Deputy Chief of Staff Senator Ibrahim Hadeija and State House Permanent Secretary Engr. Olufunso Adebiyi, Gbajabiamila explored the agency’s latest innovations. He test-drove NASENI’s electric vehicle pick-up van and reviewed products like the Home Solar system, Prepaid Meter, Laptop, Smartphone, and Solar Irrigation Pump.

A statement by Olusegun Ayeoyenikan, Director of Information, noted that the visit was part of ongoing engagements with government agencies under the Presidency to assess their alignment with the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

After touring NASENI’s Idu Industrial Area complex, Gbajabiamila expressed his satisfaction with the agency’s progress and commended Executive Vice Chairman/CEO Mr. Khalil Suleiman Halilu for his impactful leadership since September 2023. He emphasized NASENI’s crucial role in driving Nigeria’s technological advancement, which is central to the Renewed Hope Agenda.

In his remarks, NASENI’s EVC highlighted the agency’s recent innovations, interventions, and partnerships aimed at advancing technology transfer and supporting the administration’s goals. He credited the progress to the support from President Tinubu’s administration and reaffirmed NASENI’s commitment to achieving technological independence and industrial growth.
