Firstbank demonstrates its dedication to inventive financial solutions by introducing a Humanoid Robot at its Adetokunbo Ademola VI, Lagos Digital Experience Centre Branch. This cutting-edge robot incorporates Video Banking and Artificial Intelligence (AI) to serve as a friendly branch staff member. The introduction of this robot is part of Firstbank’s progressive approach to digital self-service branches, featuring advanced technology and innovation.

The CEO of FirstBank Group, Dr. Adesola Adeduntan, emphasized that the inclusion of the Humanoid Robot in their Digital Experience Centre reflects their commitment to revolutionizing the banking industry and prioritizing innovation. The robot’s advanced features aim to enhance the lives of FirstBank customers in an ever-changing digital landscape. The Humanoid Robot at the Digital Experience Centre interacts with customers through conversations and a touch screen on its chest. Its services range from addressing inquiries about cash transactions, ATM cards, and deposits to assisting with complaint management through QR code feedback.

Additionally, the robot keeps customers informed about the Bank’s latest news, such as product launches and upgrades, to enhance their experience and satisfaction. Acting as a centralized source of information, the robot effectively handles customers’ account management needs.

The Humanoid Robot was introduced as part of the Bank’s advanced Digital Experience Centre, a cutting-edge self-service branch launched in December 2021. Additionally, the Bank plans to deploy another Humanoid Robot in its upcoming second Digital Experience Centre, which is expected to be announced in the near future.
