Federal Government Hikes Fees for International Passport

The Federal Government has announced an increase in the cost of obtaining Nigeria’s international passport.

The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) spokesperson, DCI Kenneth Udo, revealed in a statement on Wednesday night in Abuja that the price hike is aimed at maintaining the quality and integrity of the Nigerian Standard Passport.

Effective September 1, 2024, the 32-page passport booklet with a 5-year validity will rise from Thirty-five Thousand Naira (N35,000.00) to Fifty Thousand Naira (N50,000.00).

Additionally, the 64-page passport booklet with a 10-year validity will increase from Seventy Thousand Naira (N70,000.00) to One Hundred Thousand Naira (N100,000.00).
