In a milestone announcement marking his initial 100 days in office, Dr. Aminu Maida, the freshly appointed Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), has revealed a comprehensive strategy aimed at sustaining and advancing the nation’s telecoms industry. The plan, disclosed during a media interaction in Lagos, underscores a commitment to a stakeholder-centric approach, with a strong emphasis on holding telecoms operators accountable for delivering top-notch services to consumers.

Identifying consumers, telecoms operators, and the government as key drivers, Maida highlighted the critical importance of collaboration in navigating the challenges of the digital age. He articulated a vision of leveraging data-centric approaches, capitalizing on the NCC’s role as a regulator armed with pertinent data to bolster industry efficiency.
