Doyin Salami, has been selected as President Muhammadu Buhari’s Chief Economic Adviser

The President’s Chief Economic Adviser is expected to address all domestic economic concerns and submit his or her recommendations to the President.”

 

President Muhammadu Buhari has named Doyin Salami, a renowned economist, as his Chief Economic Adviser.

 

Mr. Salami was the Chairman of the Presidential Economic Advisory Council until recently (PEAC).

 

“Doyin Salami, 59, is Managing Director and Head Markets Practice at KAINOS Edge Consulting Limited, as well as an Adjunct Faculty member at the Lagos Business School (LBS), Pan-Atlantic University, where he just acquired the position of Senior Fellow/Associate Professor.”

 

“The Chief Economic Adviser to the President (CEAP) is expected to address all domestic economic issues and present views to the President; closely monitor national and international developments, trends, and develop appropriate policy responses; develop and recommend to the President national economic policies to foster macroeconomic stability, promote growth, create jobs, and eradicate poverty,” presidential spokesperson Femi Adesina said.
