Barely two weeks after his appointment by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the new President/Chief Executive Officer of the Digital Bridge Institute (DBI), Mr. Daser David, officially assumed office on Monday, 2nd September 2024, at the Institute’s headquarters in Abuja.
A statement from Akin Ogunlade, Head of the Public Affairs Unit at DBI, noted that Mr. David, whose appointment was announced on 20th August, was warmly received by the top management staff of the Institute.
Mr. David brings a wealth of experience in digital technology to his new role. He previously served as the pioneer Director General of the Plateau State Information Communication Technology Development Agency (PICTDA), where he developed digital systems to enhance governance in Plateau State and improve civil service efficiency.

Under his leadership, Plateau State launched the Silicon Plateau Project and its flagship initiatives, such as Code Plateau, which has cultivated a community of soft skills experts. He also spearheaded the creation of the Qua’an Pan Innovation Hub, the first fully funded hub by a local government in Nigeria.
A graduate of Biochemistry from the University of Jos, Mr. David is also a software engineer and the founder of Nhub, the first innovation hub in northern Nigeria. Nhub has served as a technology solution provider and a skill acquisition center for thousands of young people aspiring to enter the tech industry.
Mr. David has consulted on IT projects for the Nigeria Police, the Nigeria Air Force, and various other public and private sector entities. He was also a member of the Presidential Advisory Council on Technology & Creativity, chaired by former Vice President Prof. Yemi Osinbajo, which was established to address technology and creativity challenges in the country and to advance Nigeria’s entertainment and technology sectors.
As he resumed his duties, Mr. David was joined by well-wishers, DBI top management, and staff members who accompanied him on a tour of the Institute’s facilities.
