Dr. Bayero Agabi

Dr Bayero Agabi is a member of the Presidential Committee on Data Harmonization, member National Broadband Council of the Federal Ministry of Communications and member Senate Cyber Security Expert Advisory Group. Agabi is the Vice President Nigeria Internet Group (NIG) and President Centre for Cyber Awareness and Development (CECAD) a Non- Governmental Organisation which is a pan African advocate for digital economy.

Bayero Agabi pioneered technology broadcasting on television in Nigeria over two decades ago with well over 54 local and international awards to his credit. He remains the only African to have won the prestigious UNECA/AISI award for ict4d reporting and analysis on the continent. An alumnus of Pan Atlantic Uni., University of Jos, Lagos State University and the Commonwealth University, Belize, Bayero has transverse the world reporting and speaking on ICT and technology issues as it relates to Africa’s development.

Agabi holds a degree in Mass Communications, PGD in Public Admin and Masters in Public Admin (MPA) and Doctoral in Public Policy. Bayero Agabi has certifications in Business and Enterprise Management, Telecomms, Computer Science and Public Relations.

Agabi is a professional member of the Institute of Public Relations chattered, (NIPR), Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants, FIMC, Fellow Institute of Information Management (FIIM) Africa and Member institute of Data Processing Management (IDPM).
