AIRTEL NIGERIA APPOINTS BALSINGH AS CEO

Airtel Nigeria has appointed Dinesh Balsingh as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director.

This was revealed in a statement signed by the Director of Corporate Communications and CSR, Airtel Nigeria, Femi Adeniran.

According to him, Balsingh brings over 20 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, having previously led Airtel Tanzania and served as Airtel Nigeria’s Chief Commercial Officer, where he focused on growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric innovations. He has also worked with Airtel India and Tata Docomo.

Femi also said,

“Balsingh has extensive experience across the telecommunications industry and returned to Nigeria following his appointment as Managing Director and CEO of Airtel Tanzania in 2022. Prior to his move to Tanzania, he served as the Chief Commercial Officer at Airtel Nigeria and therefore brings with him considerable experience of the Nigerian telecommunications market.”

Speaking on the appointment, Airtel Africa Chief Executive Officer, Sunil Taldar, said,

“Balsingh’s deep telecommunications experience and strong operational execution, combined with his knowledge of the Nigerian market, will be instrumental in further supporting our corporate purpose of transforming lives across Nigeria.”

Balsingh’s appointment is expected to further strengthen Airtel Nigeria’s position as a market leader in the country’s highly competitive telecommunications market. He aims to drive innovation and enhance digital services, supporting Nigeria’s digital transformation.
