African Training Program for Aspiring Tech Entrepreneurs

Every young prospective tech entrepreneur in Africa is invited to apply for their 12-month technology and entrepreneurship training program. They’re excited to get back into the recruiting rhythm and formally open up applications for the Class of 2023, now that their Class of 2022 is in full swing.

The MEST campus in Accra, Ghana, will provide successful applicants with world-class education in software development, business, and communication skills. Mentorship and networking sessions with prominent industry experts and company executives from across the world are held in conjunction with the training. At the conclusion of the year-long program, all Entrepreneurs-in-Training create firms with co-founders from their cohort and submit their business idea to MEST Africa’s worldwide community of experts and entrepreneurs for up to $100,000 in seed capital, business incubation, and lifelong support.

MEST’s mission is to generate income and jobs across the continent. As a result, their hiring procedure aims to find only the most ambitious and ethical individuals with a strong ambition to develop a successful software firm in Africa.

Each year, they receive around 4000 applications from all over Africa. Only the top 60 most talented applicants are chosen to participate in their training program after a lengthy and difficult recruitment process. Over 800 tech entrepreneurs and professionals have been trained, and they have invested in over 80 firms. They’ve created some of the best startups on the continent, like meQasa, Complete Farmer, Kudobuzz, and CodeLn, to name a few.

What should you expect from the program?

The Instruction curriculum includes intensive hands-on project work and rigorous entrepreneurial training to guarantee EITs grasp industry-proven strategies for establishing world-class tech enterprises.

Faculty Members with Years of Industry Experience: Faculty members have years of entrepreneurial and industry experience.

Hands-on Projects: In a fail-safe environment, EITs build, validate, and propose business ideas.

All EITs are given a full scholarship to attend the one-year training program.

Guest Lessons: Experienced business executives give additional lectures.
