Abba Kyari has been declared a member of an international narcotics cartel by the NDLEA

Nigeria’s National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) announced on Monday that Abba Kyari, a suspended top police officer, is a member of an international drug cartel.

Kyari, a deputy commissioner of police and former head of the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), has also been proclaimed wanted by the NDLEA for narcotics trafficking.

Kyari was suspended by the police after the FBI indicted him in the fraud case of Ramon Abbas, also known as Hushpuppi, a well-known scammer.

Kyari was a co-conspirator with Hushpuppi in a $1.1 million scheme to defraud a Qatari businessman, according to US authorities.
