Ministry of Communications Launches Build-A-Thon Initiative: Teaching Positions Applications Now Open

The Ministry of Communications, Innovation, and Digital Economy has officially commenced the application process for teaching positions in its innovative Build-A-Thon initiative program. Launched in December, this program seeks to instill early technology adoption among senior secondary students.

Scheduled to unfold over four days in January 2024, the Build-A-Thon initiative aims to actively engage 1,500 students hailing from 150 schools across Owerri, Maiduguri, and Abeokuta.

The call for applications is directed at visionary educators, teachers, and technology enthusiasts with the ability to guide and inspire the next generation of innovators. Prospective candidates are invited to submit their applications through the program’s official website, underscoring the ministry’s commitment to nurturing future tech leaders via initiatives like Build-A-Thon.

Minister Bosun Tijani outlined the strategic goals of the program, emphasizing its intent to promote early technology adoption. The initiative aims to showcase innovation, recognize achievements, foster collaboration, inspire leadership, and encourage lifelong learning among participating students. As the program takes shape, it stands as a promising avenue for shaping a tech-savvy and innovative generation.
