INFOTECH NETWORK/DigiVation has inspired similar programmes on television within the sub-region. In 2009, InfoTech Network instituted the Africa Information Society Merit Award adjudged by the industry as the best ever in terms of organisation, quality attendance, and packaging, to mark the tenth anniversary of the programme.
